I am so pleased to bring to you the fabulous Mark Freeth and Anna Robertshaw-Freeth this summers. We are going to learn to fly Sunday, June 22nd, 10-4:00 at the Imperial Rooms, Matlock. See map below.
Handstands and forearm balances. Floating effortlessly from one pose to the next. Romantic, no? Everyone wants to be able to do this stuff, but they're so damn hard, unless you have some kind of gymnastic background, right?
Wrong.
Yes, they're challenging, but Mark & Anna will guide you through a selection of sequences and techniques that will bring them within reach. We guarantee EVERYONE will be going upside down in this session - whether it be against a wall, supported by us or - ON YOUR OWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM! OMG……..
Mark has been studying yoga for 19 years and teaching full time for 14. He founded the Freestyle Yoga Project after becoming disillusioned with much of the baggage that is associated with set forms of yoga. Together with his wife Anna (herself a full time teacher of 3 years, having been studying for 6), they set up Tunbridge Wells' 1st dedicated yoga studio - a haven for dynamic vinyasa yoga, a system-free, dogma-free space that welcomes open minds and yogis that wish to work hard, challenge themselves and explore further what their minds and bodies are capable of. They continue to push their own boundaries, playing and experimenting with ideas from wherever they find them. They take time out once a year to train at The Kula Yoga Project in NYC, which they dub, 'a school for superheroes'! Mark and Anna invite you to join them for a thrilling, informal, fun-filled ride thru some creative and idiosyncratic routines.Bring a sense of humour and leave all perceived wisdom about yoga behind….
It's £40 for the day. Please send a cheque to W Snongjati, 18 Imperial Road, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3NL, or if by bacs, please contact me. Places are limited and are already filling up so please don't wait too long. Thank you.
